I have known and respected Ms. Debra Luster for well over 30 years. Debra is very attentive and deliberate at her craft which is photography.
I sometimes struggle with the term “photographer” when addressing or speaking about her work. Debra doesn’t take pictures, she takes “memories”.
After reviewing much of Debra’s work, it has been apparent to me that when peering through the lens, Debra sees things that not many others see. She has the ability to capture her subjects in a way that appears to freeze time. You look at the photo as if the subject will start to move again at any moment.
I have been a fan of Debra’s work for some time and plan to continue utilizing her amazing techniques in the future.
